My name is Su Dakin and i’m so much more than a Food Safety and Technical Compliance Leader. I’m a solutions provider, problem solver, relationship coach and mentor too.
With 30 years of Food Industry experience, I’m privileged to have worked in some great organisations; alongside many inspirational people and enjoyed varied and often global assignments.
In what can be a tough industry, it can feel daunting to have the responsibility of ensuring food is 100% safe, legal and of the right quality and integrity; especially when you’re personally accountable for the compliance systems and processes! Integrity is always at the heart of my values, and along with conviction, I use it to support teams in finding solutions.
Michelle Obama says it best:
“I have learnt that as long as I hold fast to my beliefs and values and follow my own moral compass – the only expectations I need to live up to are my own”
My approach will solve the immediate problem and leave the legacy of better processes, people and structure.
Beyond my passion for Food Safety, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Management Systems and Governance; I am a great advocate for the development of young talent, inclusion and diversity and sustainability in food systems.
